News Update: Vivacell network goes off air in Jonglei state

Bor, May 7, 2017 (Jonglei Times)-The mobile operator for south Sudan vivacell has goes off air for three days in Jonglei state capital Bor state official has said.

Bor residents said they did not communicate with their love ones for three days now, blaming Vivacell for not solving the problem very quick.

Deborah Ayen Lual resident of Panwel of Cuei-Kheer, Bor South County said she did not speak with her husband for the last three days because of the absent of the network in the area.

She said her husband supposed to send her some money for feeding but lack of network in the area make everything impossible.

I was only using vivacell line, but if I was using another line like MTN it could be better my husband could have call me and calling him, but I’m hoping that everything will be fine, Ayen told Jonglei Times.

Another frustrated Bor town resident Michael Deng said absent of Vivacell network in the town and in the villages as created big gap, you cannot stay without communicating with family members back home in the villages they may say you have change the line.

Deng urges Vivacell Company to identify the problem and rectify immediately.
However, Jonglei Times contacted Vivacell Bor they said head office don’t allow them to speak to the media.
