Al Jazeera English journalist suspended from operation in South Sudan

Juba, May 5, 2017 (Jonglei Times)-Al Jazeera English journalist suspended from operation in South Sudan presidential spokesperson has said.

Ateny Wek Ateny said Al Jazeera English journalist used to go to rebels control areas without informing the government of south Sudan and it’s our roles as the government to protect journalists.

We have just suspended their operation here because of security reasons, when journalist government of south Sudan will be blame of not protecting journalists so we decided to let the go for a while, Ateny told Voice of America (VOA).

Jonglei Times was unable to reach Al Jazeera for comment.
