Nuews Updates: over 400 herds of cattle raided from wangole

By Manas James

April 28 (Jonglei Times)-Authorities from Twice North County of Jonglei State said suspected gun men from Boma State attacked Wangole of Twice Central and made away with nearly 500 herds of cattle.

Deng Mabeny Kuot, Twice North County commissioner said the attackers clashed with the youth from the area before making away with the cattle’s.

Deng said they were no casualties from the confrontation and he said the youth are still pursuing the attackers to recover looted cattle’s.

Boma State information minister Achuan John said he had no information on attack in Wangole by suspected youths from   his  area.

Deng said that the attackers are IO Faction loyal to the former first-Vice president Riek Machar.
The two states of Jonglei and Boma states have in recent months been trading accusations over cattle raiding and child abduction.

Many peace initiatives aimed at calling a halt to decades of child abduction and cattle raiding have seemingly bore no fruits.
