News Update: Jonglei and Boma states to hold peace conference in kapoeta state-governor aguer confirmed


Bor, April 23 (Jonglei Times)-The Governor of Jonglei State called for the congregation in St Andrew Cathedral in Bor to preach peace in Jonglei State and South Sudan at Large, this called come when the Boma State Governor of Boma state Ismail Konyi accepted Peace Conference between Jonglei and Boma States after the collapse of peace Deal in March which was about to be held in  Terekeka State, according to Governor Aguer, that Boma State Governor did not accept Terekeke anymore and Torit as well but he prepared Kapoeta State as the conducive place for the peace to take place.
Governor Aguer call upon the Citizen of Jonglei to remain calm and promise that peace will be achieved between Jonglei and Boma State this years, he gave an example of a father who has many children at home and if the one of the children misbehave, he/she cannot be disowned but by the father but should be called upon by the father to sit down and discuss the point of Misunderstanding together as the Children of the same Mother and Father, Aguer retreat that peace will come and   we should all work for it in the negotiation table.
While in the same Sunday Service, the Jonglei State Coordinator of the UNMISS in Jonglei State Mrs. Debora called for the citizen of Bor and Boma State to avoid Violence and have a dialogue among themselves, Mrs. Debora says that the Dialogue is the solution to the issues which need both states to negotiate and reached the Consensus then using arms struggle as the mean, Debora further called on the two State Governors to work for peace as the key towards Development  of the brotherly states, Mrs. Debora promise the two State Governors to provide them with any assistance in term of Transports either to make sure that peace prevailed in the two ares, she father promise the commitment of UNMISS to facilitate transports where the peace Conference will be held, UNMISS will be ready to provide Transport to the two States Governments  such that the conflict is Resolves amicably.
States of Jonglei and Boma have been accusing each other for Child Abduction, Cattle Raiding and the killing of Innocents civilian in their respective states Villages.
